Ganesh Atharvashish Shahastra Vachan is religious vidhi in which Ganesh Atharvshirshra is done one thousand times. On the auspicious day of Sankasthi Chaturti or Angarki Chaturti, this puja is performed to praise lord Ganesha. If Ganesh Atharvshirshra is started in the morning the person involved in puja is suggested to keep the fasting, consuming fruits or tea/coffee/milk is fine.
Lord Ganesha is said to be Sukhakarta, Dukhaharta, and lord of all 8 directions. Hence to perform his puja with the full faith and get maximum of his blessings should be the only intention behind this puja.
